A Geothermal
system is a central heating and/or cooling system that involves pumping
the heat to or from the underground. Geothermal
or Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP) when properly engineered provide a
very efficient reliable source for heating and cooling in our Maine
climate. This type of system is extremely quiet and also will
significantly reduce your exposure to the rapid fluctations in fossil
fuel prices as well as reduce CO2 emissions. |

The GSHP can also be combined
with a solar hot water system to create a hybrid mode that is even more
efficient and reduces CO2 emissions even further. |
